Aventurine is a shining example of the wonders that can be created by chance. Discovered accidentally in Venetian glassworks in the 18th century, the mineral captivated all who saw it, so much so that the Miotti family from Italy aptly named it’ goldstone’. The mineral was later named Aventurine, derived from two Italian words, ‘a’ meaning ‘by’, with ‘ventura’ denoting ‘chance’; how fitting for such an enthralling gem.
Our collection includes the soft green semi-translucence many adore, complete with mica flecks that catch the eye. Yet these stones also come in captivating shades like orange, reddish-brown, yellow, and silver – representing the spectrum of nature’s artistry. Adorn your environment with a medley of colours, each piece imparting its unique vibrancy and charm.
The mesmerising sparkle of Aventurine crystals is caused by a phenomenon known as ‘aventurescence’. This natural shimmer is thanks to microscopic plate-like mineral inclusions that catch the light, resulting in a beautiful, glimmering surface. This distinctive feature lends Aventurine its peerless appearance and makes our crystals stand out, as though each stone captures a constellation, creating a galaxy of light and colour.
